If you want to get Mozilla for a
"classic" mac (i.e. OS 9.x), the last version they made was Mozilla
1.2.1 or you could try this Japanese guy's unsupported build
that he made himself, Mozilla
1.3.1. It's worked for me.
If you're using a modern mac, unix type machine, or even windows, FireFox is what you should be
using. In particular, this adds some security to your windows machine.
Mozilla:
- It can block pop-ups without turning off
Javascript
- It fully and correctly supports Cascading Style
Sheets.
- It fully and correctly supports Java.
- It's open source, so no company owns it. It's development is driven by security and stability -- not profit.
- It's entirely free.
- It can render MathML, but don't worry, nobody knows what that is.
- It lets you make cookies destroy themselves at the end of each session.
- It's password memorizer weakly encrypts your passwords and credit-card numbers.
- Bill Gates does not make a penny.
