Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. State laws differ, but given the right circumstances:
- You can be denied entry to the United States for refusing to be interrogated by the FBI and given a polygraph test despite being a United States citizen with no charges against you.

- Eminent domain means that the state can take your property away if it's for the benefit of the community (e.g. to build a freeway or town hall). Now, the state can take your home for the benefit of an individual corporation.

- When pulled over for a minor traffic violation, the police can have a dog sniff the exterior of your car for drugs.

- You may be arrested for not telling a police officer your name, even if you cannot be arrested for the crime of which you are suspected.
